Distinction between Bailable and Non Bailable Offence

Bailable Offence Non-Bailable Offence
Bailable offence are less grave and serious. Non-Bailable offences are grave and serious in nature.
Bailable offences are punishable with less than 3 years imprisonment or with fine. Non Bailable offences are punishable with imprisonment for 3 years or more.
Bail can be claimed as a matter of right. Bail can be granted at the discretion of the Court.
