Course Overview

“Cross-examination, —the rarest, the most useful, and the most difficult to be acquired of all the accomplishments of the advocate.”—Cox.

Into Legal World in collaboration with School of Legal Studies, CMS University, Bangalore, has launched a Short-Term Certificate Course on “Art of Cross-Examination” for law students and advocates.

The Course aims to develop the ability of counter arguments and framing the question in such a way that the truth itself shows up. Through the course, students and advocates will be able to develop the strategies to expose biases, false statements or gaps in the witness recollection.

Where, the courtroom is unpredictable, Witnesses can be evasive, hostile, or unexpectedly persuasive. Some will try to mislead, others might genuinely forget key details, and expert witnesses? They come armed with jargon and confidence. The course will help law students and advocates handle them to win your argument? Cross-examination is often seen as the true test of a lawyer’s skill.
