About the Position

Applications are invited for the post of Field Investigator in the project entitled ‘A study of the socio-legal aspects of the adoption process in India’ sponsored by National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), New Delhi.


About the Job Profile

The Field Investigator will report to the Principal Investigator and the responsibilities will include the following:

1. Carry out data collection from the field and conducting interviews

2. Basic quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis

3. Assist in other work related to the project

Desirable Qualification

1. Demonstrable experience in conducting ethnographic or empirical research, particularly on socio-legal issues. 2. Knowledge and familiarity with issues relating to adoption and child rehabilitation.


Essential Qualification

1. Postgraduate in law/sociology/political science/child care and development or any other relevant fields of social science discipline with a minimum of 55%

2. Experience in carrying out primary data collection, and analysis

3. Experience in analysing data using software tools like SPSS

Salary

20,000/- (consolidated /-pm)

• Appointment of the applicant will be purely temporary and governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.

• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for attending the interview.
