ABOUTTHE COMPETITION

The Script Writing Competition is an exciting opportunity for participants to craft compelling narratives that will come to life through Nukkad Natak (street play) performances. This competition encourages creative storytelling with a strong social message, blending impactful dialogues, expressive performances, and engaging plots to captivate audiences. Nukkad Natak, known for its raw and powerful way of addressing real-world issues, allows participants to highlight pressing societal concerns through

their scripts. By fostering creativity and awareness, this competition not only hones participants' writing and theatrical skills but also serves as a medium to inspire change and spark meaningful conversations.


THEME - JAGRUK NAGRIK: SAKSHAM KANOON

The theme "Jagruk Nagrik: Saksham Kanoon" emphasizes the crucial role of an informed and aware citizenry in upholding and reinforcing the strength of the law. It underscores the importance of individuals being conscious of their rights, duties, and the legal framework that governs society. A jagruk (aware) citizen not only understands their legal standing but also actively engages in promoting justice, equality, and accountability within the community. Through this theme, the competition aims to encourage writers

to explore the dynamic relationship between the law and citizens, highlighting how a saksham (empowered) and well-informed populace can contribute to a stronger, fairer, and more efficient legal system, ultimately fostering a society where justice prevails for all.


SUB THEMES:

The writers can choose one of the sub themes to be incorporated in the main theme:

1. Know Your Rights: Educating citizens about their fundamental rights, duties, and constitutionalprovisions.

2. Access to Justice: Focusing on the importance of legal aid, counseling services, and dispute resolutionmechanisms.

3. Law and Technology: Exploring the intersection of law and technology, including cyber laws, digital evidence, and e-governance.

4. Civic Engagement and Responsibility: Encouraging citizens to participate in the democratic process, understand their civic duties, and engage with local governance.

5. Empowering Vulnerable Groups: Highlighting the need for special protections and provisions for marginalized communities, such as women, children, and persons with disabilities.


AUTHOR CAN WRITE HIS SCRIPTDEPICTING HOW-

1. An aware person is better off against an unaware person.

2. Where people are aware the pronouncement and implementation of law is better, the government is more accountable, the overall environment is better than other areas.

3. Legal awareness changed someone life.

4. Author can also pick any area to aware people and show how their awareness is important to increase the effectiveness of law. He can choose to aware people on environment law, law aid, woman laws, consumer rights, RTI etc. and accountability within the community. Through this theme, the competition aims to encourage writers to explore the dynamic relationship between the law and citizens, highlighting how a saksham (empowered) and well-informed populace can contribute to a stronger, fairer, and more efficient legal system, ultimately fostering a society where justice prevails

for all.


REGISTRATION DETAILS

1. Registration Fee: 200/- per person.

2. Last Date for Registration: March 30, 2025.

3. Last Date for Script Submission: April 8, 2025.

4. To complete your registration, fill out the following form:


COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. Scripts will be accepted in both Hindi and English (Bilingual format).

2. The Script should be 20 minutes long.

3. The Script should include minimum 7 and maximum 15 characters.

4. The Legal Aid Cell will obtain the copyright claim of all submissions.

5. Maximum no. of authors will be two.


PRIZES

• Winner: ₹3,000/-

• Runner-up: ₹2,000/-
